2020 RAM $2 ' BRAVE - Australian Firefighters Carded Coin

Fire is a primal element of the Australian landscape and psyche. Our firefighters, both career and volunteer protect us from this destructive force of nature. From our urban centre, to our parks, forests and rural towns, these brave people work tirelessly, risking their lives to save others. This 2020  coloured $2 coin honours the more than 500 firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. 

We thank them and all our firefighters for their courage and commitment to keeping Australian communities safe.

These coins were released to coincide with the National Memorial for Fire and Emergency Services in October 2020. The reverse side of the coin is a poignant reminder of the bravery and sacrifice of Australia's Firefighters and features a pair of firefighters battling a fire, with the centre of the coin coloured in the red/orange fire colours.
