The 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990 & 2023 Coat of Arms 50c coins were only struck for Royal Australian Mint issues, and will never be found in change! Even more astonishing is the tale of the not-issued-for-circulation 2005 Coat of Arms 50c.

In response to this request, the RAM struck just 30,000 examples of the 2005 Coat of Arms 50c – making it one of Australia’s lowest mintage decimal issues!
